Roland F. Hirsch has served as Secretary-Treasurer of CPOSSU since 1991.
He is a program manager in the Medical Sciences Division, Office of
Biological & Environmental research, U.S. Department of Energy, with
responsibilities in structural molecular biology, genome
instrumentation, and environmental cleanup research. He has been a stamp
collector for forty-five years, currently specializing in the
complexities of the Machin-head definitive stamps of Great Britain,
hoping one day to develop an exhibit on the chemical aspects of the
33-year old series.
